Teachers
DIANE ATKINS
Founder, Director and Teacher
A graduate of Butler University with a BS Degree in Education founded the preschool in 1994. She has a diverse background in education and the performing arts, which she incorporates into the preschool program. She believes that performing helps with the self-confidence all children need to try new things and strive to become successful at anything. She loves seeing the little ones “come out of their shells” and become self-confident and independent.
Curriculum
In our classes we introduce the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes and sight words with the goal of mastery. We also work on writing skills, cutting skills and do a variety of arts and crafts daily. Circle-time activities include the calendar, weather, pledge of allegiance, show and tell and story time. Snacks, songs, dancing, science, math and free play are also daily activities. Children bring lunch and water bottle. We perform songs and dances at our holiday shows throughout the year. The end of year show includes plays with costumes and props.
